About the Finland BMS
The Finnish BMS began collecting transect count data in 1999 and has continued to grow and support butterfly conservation thanks to the efforts of the BMS coordination team: Janne Heliola (volunteer coordination, data management, and reporting) and Mikko Kuussaari (scientific lead and cooperation with eBMS). BMS Finland is organised by the Finnish Environment Institute (Syke) and funded by the Ministry of the Environment of Finland.
This monitoring scheme collects all transect count data via its official website.
