Welcome to Australia BMS

In this tab, you will find specific information about the Australian butterfly monitoring scheme.
About the Australian BMS
The Australian butterfly monitoring network began collecting transect and 15-minute count data in 2026 and continues to grow thanks to the support of Moths and Butterflies Australasia (MABA) and the continued efforts of the national coordinators, Shawan Chowdhury and Michael Braby, and regional coordinators: Michael Cheers, Greg Newland, Suzi Bond, Jessie Sinclair, Bryan Haywood, Richard Glatz, Matt Williams, Ian Hutton and Glynn Maynard.
