About the Romania BMS
The Romanian Butterfly Monitoring Scheme is a collective initiative of the Romanian Lepidopterological Society and the Babeș-Bolyai University. It officially began collecting transect count data in 2017, later incorporating 15-minute counts, and continues to grow and support butterfly conservation thanks to the efforts of the scheme's coordination team: Muntean Iulia, Andreia Sîdor, Cristina Craioveanu, Csaba Vizauer and Virginia Cîrstoiu.
