Welcome to Sweden BMS

In this tab, you will find specific information about the Swedish butterfly monitoring scheme. Please note that this butterfly monitoring scheme has its own official website, where you may find additional information.
About the Sweden BMS
The Swedish butterfly monitoring scheme began collecting transect data in 2010, later incorporating the 15-minute count and moth trap methodologies, and continues to grow and support butterfly conservation through the efforts of its coordination team. These efforts are coordinated by Lund University and supported by the Naturvårdsverket.
This monitoring scheme collects transect count data via its official website.
On the other hand, 15-minute counts and moth trap observations are collected through the eBMS website and the ButterflyCount App. All the data collected in this manner is shared with the Swedish BMS.
